Chevrolet dominates for the third weekend in a row, with Kyle Larson winning at Las Vegas.
The race began at 3:51pm Eastern Time with wind gust reaching over 20mph. Ross Chastain would start in the rear due to unapproved adjustments made to the wrap of the car, discovered just after qualifying. Zane Smith would make contact with the wall on lap 4. The caution flag waved on lap 10, as Christopher Bell faced issues with the right rear tire. Bell would then caught speeding on pit road. On the same round of pit stops, Todd Gilliland received a penalty for too many people over the wall too soon. In lap 27, a loose tire on the no.17 car driven by Chris Buescher, would lead to contact with the wall. The contact would lead to a red flag in order to fix the wall. Buescher's team is expected to face a penalty for the incident. On lap 48, a large trash bag over the grill of William Byron’s car forced the Daytona 500 winner to pit, putting him a lap down. Kyle Larson, looking like the car to beat won stage 1.
During stage two, teams faced the decision of using a two or one stop pit strategy. Most teams elected to do the two stop strategy. On their pit stops, Austin Cindric, Daniel Hemric, and Ross Chastain were caught speeding. Bubba Wallace’s team faced issues getting a lug nut off during their pit stop. The caution flag waved on lap 157 as Bell spun, adding on the seemingly never ending issues for him during the race. Everyone would pit, with Bowman winning the race off pit road with a two tire stop. On the restart Ty Gibbs was sent to the rear for an uncontrolled tire during his pit stop. Larson would go on to win stage 2.
Larson continued to dominate during the final stage. With green flag stops underway, Kyle Busch faced a penalty for pitting outside box. William Byron faced a longer pit stop after having to back up. With 46 laps to go, Larson cycled back to the lead. The caution flag was raised on lap 223 when Corey Lajoie spun off turn 2. During the pit stops, Chastain moved up to 2nd with a two tire strategy stop. Even with Tyler Reddick closing in, no one could stop Kyle Larson, as he would score his 3rd career win at Vegas, after leading 181 laps.
